78. Edmund Rice Centre

Mirrabooka Torch Bearer
Edmund Rice Centre representative Chris Ward (second from left)
with Janine Freeman MLA (far left) and Torch-Bearer Award recipients,
Don Immanuel Smith and Sherma Ugle.

The Edmund Rice Centre is involved in a range of projects and activities promoting harmony, friendship and peace in the community.

Founded upon the Christian Brothers’ goals of love and compassion, the Edmund Rice Centre provides whole-hearted help and support for indigenous families in need.

The Edmund Rice Centre also services the needs of Refugees and Asylum Seekers, as well as fostering and advancing their cause.

The Centre is a key contributor of harmony within Mirrabooka and the wider community. It has been an active participant in many community events, including the Beatball basketball, which is run in conjunction with City of Stirling and Noongar Sports Association.

Chris Ward accepted the award on behalf of the Edmund Rice Centre.
