Australia 13 March: Perth
As part of the West Australian Harmony Week Celebrations, the World Harmony Run was invited to attend a Harmony Day Concert in the City of Belmont on Sunday 13th March.
After the traditional walk around Tomato Lake (a Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom) with the Mayor Glynis Godfrey, a drumming troupe and community members, the team helped children and adults mark their place of origin with a heart (sticker) and favorite places they had travelled to with a star (sticker), on a giant paper mache globe of the world.
The City of Belmont is very multicultural and soon hearts and stars adorned the globe in many exotic locations such as Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Thailand, Tahiti, Mauritius and of course their new hometown of Perth.
