USA 20 June: Lincoln City, OR - Portland, OR

Our men's team camped at Coyote Rock RV Resort - a beautifully situated by the river.

Mist rising off the river at Coyote Rock.

We started out day rejuvenated by a beautiful stay in the stunning Salishan Lodge which lies on the rugged pacific coast line, offering us the opportunity to bathe in it's refreshing waters before we began our days running and said our last goodbyes to the Pacific Coast before we headed inland.

Along the way Harita and Ratuja were reminded of the message that they are carrying around the country when they encountered a Harmony Lane.

After a full days running the team arrived in Portland and were warmly welcomed by the summer camp at the Southwest Community Center.

The children enthusiastically particpated in the presentation and offered their thoughts on harmony and their wishes for peace.

Salil and Tom offered to carry Atulya to Seattle in their harmony skit

The children proved themselves to be excellent singers when they joined the runners in singing the World Harmony Run Song.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the offering of the World Harmony Run Torchbearer Award, which was received by Rebecca Black for her years of dedicated to the young people of her community through numerous initiatives including her non-profit "Oregon Outreach, Inc."

After receiving the award Rebecca gave an inspirational talk to the children encouraging them to look within for their own unique gifts and talents so that they can develop them and one day offer them to the world.

The children were then inspired to hold the torch and make their own wishes for a peaceful world.

The children prepared a poster for the runners to take on the rest of their journey.

The kindness of the people that the team meets on the route encourages and inspired as they continually move forward on their journey.
