Glorious blue sky and white-cloud plumes create a wonderful backdrop for our day of harmony running.

Elizabeth Papiernik meets us on the road and is so happy to see our run. She has invited us to come visit her at her house on the lake next time we come through. We'd love too.

Shujah Khan, our most accommodating host at Broadway Inn in Yankton, filled with inspiration takes off with the torch.

A meeting with Rotarians in Yankton, SD. Led by President Gary Wood.

Erik is entering into..."The good life."

Nebraska, the Cornhusker state.

Meeting in Ponca, Nebraska with Mayor David Lebsock and local supporters and runner.

Strong runner shares an even stronger smile.

Newcastle, Nebraska.

Local park groundskeeper in Newcastle.

Erik makes a friend with a Springer Spaniel puppy. Newcastle.

Running with Sioux City, IA locals towards the Tyson Events Center.

Mayor Mike Hobart of Sioux City, IA receives the runners and reads a proclamation dedicated to our run.

Sharing smiles.

Make a wish.

A powerful wish for harmony from the Reverend. He has a great program for youth in the community and helps them to live up to higher ideals.

Bruce Meyer, retired ultra-runner came to receive us with his wife Becky (who organized much of this event) and his grandchildren. The mutual appreciation was very deep.

Mayor Mike Hobart with his wife Sharon and daughter Lindsey. I recognized both Sharon and Lindsey, and they recognized me but we couldn't figure out how because they had never seen our run before.

Becky Meyer, Rotarian and organizer of our event here. Thank you, we appreciate so much your support and efforts.

Paul Eckert, City Manager with his children Lauren and Ben. These were really great people who gaves us so much support. Paul brought together a great group of runners for us to run into Sioux City with (including himself).

I'm really hungry, I just ran 8 miles.  Hurry up and take the picture so that I can eat! Thank you:-)

Thank you Chili's for the fantastic food and great service!

Thanks to the Ramada Inn for putting us up for the night.
