We loved seeing you in Olympia WA today--thank you for giving my son
August (age 11, red jacket) a chance to run with the torch! In his
words, "That was AWESOME!" Go World Harmony Run USA"
Roxane Waldron
Greetings from Olympia Washington! I just happened to be riding towards
downtown to pick up my daughter at camp, when I spotted one of your
runners holding a torch. I had to do a double-take, as it's not often
we see runners with torches! I didn't have time to stop to ask
questions, so made sure I could see that his T-shirt said World Harmony
Run. So, once back at home, I googled your organization name. Well
done! I wish I had known about you all prior to this. I hope the folks
in Olympia treat you as well as folks in Napavine and Winlock seemed to
do. Kudos to you all.....
Teri Clay-Poole
Dear Shyamala:
I so much enjoyed meeting you, your sister and the other two "girls" at
the Winlock High School. All of you are to be highly commended on your
"goodwill/harmony" journey. I admit I didn't know anything about your
project until I read your flyer and talked to all of you. I left the
dinner feeling very light hearted and happy knowing that the world has
people like you in it. Gives one hope. Take care. Have an absolutely
outstanding journey.
Winlock, WA
you guys are spiritual rock stars!! it was a blast when you all were in
SD. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of your journey. Can't wait for
next year.
I just watched the pirate video... funny stuff...
What is a pirate's favorite radio program?
NParrrrgh... National Pirate Radio!
What does a pirate say when he has a heart attack?
Arrr! Me heartie!
What did the doctor say to the pirate?
Open up and say "Arrrrr!!"
What does a Dyslexic Pirate Say?
RRAAAAAAAAAAA!
Take care guys! Have a great run!
Steven Luibrand
Ooh-la-la, what a record y'all are laying down. This "Live from the
road" is a big inspiration--thanks. It was just a short time that I got
to spend with the run, but it was the highlight of my year! Do you
remember the girl at the Hualapai Hilltop who grilled us on the meaning
and purpose of the run? By chance I found in the Phoenix-area "Sweat"
magazine a tribute she wrote about her father Tom Miller, who evidently
was a fixture in the Boston running scene some years back and is now
local. Her husband encouraged my daughter Chloe about the hike out,
which gave her the confidence and determination to set an achievable
time, even in the dark. We got a late start because she sensibly ate
first at the cafe down in Supai village. Early on, at dusk, we met a
rattlesnake sleeping in the wash. (Generally they tend to skedaddle
upon human approach.) Lisa Loughran, the cross-country coach from
Moenkopi, ran the San Diego Rock-and-Roll Marathon in 3:33 a couple
days after that relay from Red Lake to Tuba City.
Gregor
what wonderful shots! i love the one with the runner coming through the
