Taiwan - Chinese Taipei, 25 February 2006
The 2006 IAU 24-Hour World Challenge was held in Taipei, on February 25 to 26. We are very grateful that IAU, Taipei City Government, and the Chinese Taipei Road Runners Association allowed us to participate in this international event.

There were more than 200 top ultra runners from 26 countries competing in the race; the organizers, the runners, the helpers and the well-wishers had worked together to create a wonderful and inspiring race filled with high spirit and joy. Congratulations for staging such a successful event !
At the closing ceremony, Monika Moling, the representative runner on the Italian National Team and also a member of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team , first passed the World Harmony Torch to Dr. Wu, the Head of the Education Department of Taipei City Government , then the Torch was passed to the President of IAU (International Association of Ultra Runners), Mr. Dirk Strumane, finally the Torch was passed to Professor Frank Kuo, the Coordinator of the Race.
