Slovenia 9 September: Snovik - Maribor

Our accommodation for the night was at Therme Snovik,  and we spent the evening in the swimming pool there. It was a great place to get ready, fresh and shiny for this new day of running and meetings. Thanks for the hospitality!

Our first meeting today was at O.S. Snovik. Even though it was early, the children were all eager to run with us.

While we were passing the torch to eveybody, the kids organised their own relay with the flags. Two at a time, each with one of the flags, they ran a lap around the playground, then passed the flags to the next  two runners; they proved to be very good runners.

The teachers also held the torch, and we asked them to run around the playground with it. The kids were happy to see the teachers run, encouraging them with clapping and waving.

The next place was Zalec, where we had a meeting at the stadium.

The children already joined us on the road, and together we ran into the stadium and around the track.

O.S. Celje welcomed us with a excellent singer, singing our World Harmony Run Song.

The students performed a play for us, with dancing and singing. They started with dancers covered in black outfits, but during the dance, bright colours appeared and then the black changed into beautiful pink.

We continued our run to Sl. Konjice, where the children of the 2nd primary school ran with us. At the meeting place we had a very good master of ceremonies. She did an inspiring interview with all the team members!

Paparazzi hanging off the back of the van.

More and more people are running with us. For this last part of the day we have children from O.S Fram, O.S. Race and O.S Slivnica running with our team.

In the schools the children did drawings for us, expressing harmony and friendship.

Slovenia really overwhelmed us with enthusiasm!

A lot of smiles are sent with the torch....

A lot of steps have been taken with us and...

A lot of hands have already held the torch.

Team Ganesha, the best Slovenian Mountain Biker Team!

Everybody running to the finish.

We met a lot of new friends. Thanks everybody, for running with us!
