Slovakia 24 September: Zvolen - Bojnice

Big participation in Zvolen...


Veľká účasť vo Zvolene...

Children from the 1. primary school were waiting for us in front of the city hall. From there the mayor set us on today`s journey.


Ráno nás pred mestským úradom čakali deti z 1. základnej školy a pán primátor Kusein.

Mr. Kusein recieved award for supporting Harmony Run and his work for harmonious society from hands of the runners.


Pán primátor prevzal ocenenie za podporu Behu harmónie a prácu pre harmonickú spoločnosť z rúk bežcov.

Ice hockey team of the school led us to the city border. Also friends from the local running club joined us and stretched their run until Hronska Dubrava.


Hokejový tím z Jednotky nás vyprevadil až po hranicu mesta. Tiež sa k nám pridali zvolenskí maratonci, ktorí potiahli až po Hronskú Dúbravu.

Quiet road took us through the beautiful countryside which showed marks of upcoming autumn.


Málo frekventovaná cesta, pre nás vítaná zmena po rušnej premávke, nás viedla ďalej krásnou krajinou a začínajúcou jeseňou.

Police escort on bikes protected runners very well on thier way into Ziar nad Hronom.


Policajti na dvoch kolesách nás eskortovali do Žiaru nad Hronom.

A loop with children around the square and then everybody held the torch of harmony.


S deťmi v Žiari sme si zabehli kolečko okolo námestia a všetci, čo nás prišli privítať podržali pochodeň harmónie.

Little Matej waited for us while we got refreshments in the city hall because he wanted to run with the torch very much. He instantly became part of our team and he also got team T-shirt.


Malý Matej počkal kým sme sa občerstvili na mestskom úrade, lebo veľmi túžil bežať s pochodňou. Hneď medzi nás zapadol a dostal aj naše tímové tričko.

Handlova surprised us with rain but also fresh enthusiastic runners, futbal club and one member of the city council who was once representing Slovakia in race walking. So there were many smiles in the rain.


Banícke mesto Handlová nás prekvapilo dažďom, ale aj nadšeným húfom bežcov. Medzi nimi aj jeden mestský poslanec, bývalý reprezentant Slovenska v chôdzi. A tak sa zišlo veľa úsmevov v daždi.

Do Bojníc nás privolal krásny hlas...

Mayor hands over the torch to citizens.


Pán primátor odovzdáva pochodeň občanom mesta.

Mayor with the international team of runners uncovered memorial plaque for Magna Via - old royal post path, that led through Bojnice.


Za prítomnosti medzinárodného týmu bežcov bola slávnostne odhalená pamätná dlaždička pripomínajúca, že cez Bojnice prechádzala Magna Via, kráľovská poštová cesta.

Bojnice used to be a stop for post messangers where they rested and refiled their strenght. So we did the same.


Bojnice boli jednou zo zastávok na trase poštových poslov, kde oddychovali a dopĺňali sily. Tak sme to urobili aj my.

Under the golden celing and wings of angels, the mayor , Mr. Tám, oficialy welcomed us in the town and the castle of Bojnice.


Pod zlatým stropom a krídlami anjelov nás pán primátor Tám oficiálne privítal v meste Bojnice a na zámku.
