Greenland 30 July: Arsuk

Matthew and Johanne, Mayor of Arsuk, with the Harmony Torch

The arctic expedition Students On Ice found themselves in the small community of Arsuk, which numbers 170 people, on the expedition's last day in Greenland. After having been personally greeted by the Mayor and all 170 members of the community(!) - and invited to a feast - the students, led by Iceland's Ole Nordmann Brynjólfsson (seen on picture below), organised a World Harmony Run around the village.

Unlike most cases, these World Harmony Runners didn't wear running shoes, instead they wore arctic customary rubber boots! But it was all in a good cause.

Students On Ice have now participated in a World Harmony Run ceremony in Iceland, and conducted a Run in Greenland. Their travels will next take them to Canada, where they'll be arriving on August 1st. Hopefully, they'll get more chances to run.
