Scotland 4 March: Crianlarich - Glasgow

Our last day in the Highlands brought us another frosty morning!

..all the burns along our route were frozen...

Despite the cold we enjoyed a fantastic run along famous Loch Lomond.

We paid a visit to the Arrochar Primary School:

The children gave us "High Fives" and big smiles!

A short school yard-stampede ended the outdoor program...

The children sang their school song for us. We had to admit they are much better singers than we are...

...like the birds, we moved South too...

In Drymen we visited Tir-na-nog (land of eternal youth), a famous cultural centre of the region.

The children got really excited about playing with us!

...who leads whom?

The Duchess of Montrose received the torch....

...a very welcome lunch of hot soup and sandwiches ended our hearty meeting...

When we reached Glasgow, we visited the Willowbank Primary School.

It was National Book Day, so the children dressed up as characters from various stories!

In this school there were  children of many different nationalities. We usually let the children guess our nationalities, but this time we played the game the other way around too: we did much worse that the pupils!

Some of the children wrote really nice poems:

HARMONY spells:

Happiness

All of us joining in

Relaxed, not worried or angry

Making peace

One and all together

Nice to each other

You and everyone...

A DREAM:

having friends is a dream come true;

they share with you and play with you;

at the end of the day you are the luckiest person in the world!

The last meeting of the day brought us to the St. Mungo's Museum of Religious Life and Art in Glasgow.

Mrs. Sandra Ewiri and her team received us warmly and a final picture ended a busy day of the WHR in Scotland!
