Costa Rica 24 July: Legislative Assembly in San Jose
H.E. Francisco Antonio Pacheco, President of the Legislative Assembly and former Minister of Education is presented with the torch by Karabi Hart, who was born in Limon, Costa Rica.
The local tradition says that the name of the country comes from Columbus’ own words of admiration when he first arrived in these lands –“what a Rich Coast!” Harmony visitors could see and feel its richness everywhere –friendly faces, beautiful sceneries, generous help, spiritual company and abundant meals.

The Harmony Run team was honored in very warm and friendly reception led by the current President of the Legislative Assembly and former Minister of Education, H.E. Francisco Antonio Pacheco, and seven deputies and staff members of the Assembly. The deputies present were: H.E. Janina Del Vechio, H.E. Mayín Antillón, H.E. Jorge E. Sanchez, H.E. Francisco Marin, H.E. Carlos Gutierrez, H.E. Guyon Massey and H.E. Luis Barrantes.

In his welcoming speech to the Harmony Run team, Mr. Pacheco spoke about the “significance of the inner balance when the outer harmony is manifested”, and offered his “Congratulations to the founder of the Harmony Run and to those who are carrying the torch through Costa Rica.”
