Canada 22 July: Montreal
WHR at the 'Sharing Party' July 22, 2009
The World Harmony Run visited a unique event Wed. July 22 called a ‘sharing party’ in lovely rural Rawdon, Quebec, one hour north of Montreal.
The event is the brainchild of Bashan, the founder of the ADN, The Alliance des Nations (alliance of nations) is a non -profit organization whose goal is to bring people together. According to Bashan on his website http://www.alliancedesnations.com ‘To break the barriers between the different nations, to make people understand that we are all similar in spite of our beliefs, our differences in thoughts or our religions, that is our priority.’
Many groups sang and shared stories of their cultures. The Pavaka Ensemble, a Montreal-based music group performed some arrangements of songs by World Harmony Run founder Sri Chinmoy.

The World Harmony Torch was then offered to Bashan, who told the audience that it was founder Sri Chinmoy, who 20 years ago told him that ‘he was meant to do something special’ and he took it to mean that his goal was to create the ADN and bring all cultures and philosophies together to share their commonalities.
The torch was passed to all the participants and audience which included young children and representatives of many cultures and beliefs. Many beautiful thoughts for world harmony were infused into the World Harmony Run Torch that evening.
The World Harmony Run offers its deepest gratitude to Bashan and his staff for organizing such a lovely and important event.
