Canada 13 June: Springhill and Truro, Nova Scotia

Live from the road report by Sarah and Caitlin, 13 June, Springhill and Truro, Nova Scotia:

Caitlin and Sarah were greeted at the Junction after an invigorating uphill torch run, by yet another amazing pack of maritime kids.

It was the beginning of another great day among school children here in beautiful Nova Scotia as we made our way to Junction Road Elementary and West End Memorial Elementary in Springhill, and then to Douglas Street Elementary and Alice Street Elementary in Truro.

As the torch made its way around the circle at each of the schools, the Harmony Runners could clearly see the positive impact our visits have on each sincerely hopeful soul. Both the young and the young at heart were glowing with the anticipation our arrival stirs and the itinerary was interspersed with runs along the staggeringly beautiful roads through the rolling hills of Nova Scotia.

All day long, the question of the day was, “If you could make one wish for World Harmony, what would it be?” One little boy at West End Memorial meekly approached a team member and whispered in her ear, “I wish the World Harmony Runners would never stop running, no matter what…”
