Albania 9 August: Lezhe - Border with Montenegro
We started into another hot and humid day, heading north for Montenegro. Together with our Albanian runners, we left Lezhe after a short TV interview.
One of many mosques along the road...
Typical traffic chaos behind the runners...
Please somebody, tell the teddy bear to fasten his seatbelt...
We met lots of people in traditional costumes...
Good stretching makes your running day!
Albanian Ben Hur?
We met some cyclists...
In the afternoon we approached the border with Montenegro. Dark rain clouds appeared and promised a highly welcomed natural shower.
At the border we said goodbye to our brave Albanian runners!
Our great Albanian Team!
Thank you Albania, for giving us such a good summer time! We all appreciated your cheerfulness and hospitality, and look forward to another World Harmony Run in the near future!
Right after we crossed the border, the downpour started and our runners got soaked within seconds!
But the summer heat dried us off in a few minutes and we ended the day taking a swim in a most beautiful canyon.
These girls take the torch everywhere!
